For this my final image I used three different glass bottles that I found and coated the inside with different colours of bold coloured paint, taking from Gonot’s idea that bright, bold colours can give objects a new life. I feel that my images show that the bottles have been given a new life, they’ve become more interesting, more purposeful than an empty glass bottle.
The individual images in this tryptic I have edited it emphasise the boldness of the colours better although I feel as a whole this is were my final piece lacks. Mainx and Gonot’s work both share very block, flat backdrop colours, were as mine we see a quite textured backdrop. I feel this takes some of the life out of the image as it is stands out less.
The reason I chose to have the red bottle against the blue backdrop and the blue bottle against the red back drop is because they are opposing colours on the colour wheel, creating greater contrast between the bottle and the backdrop, this intern gives the bottle greater impact and more of a focus point to an audience viewing the image.
I have ordered the tryptic is so that the two very contrasting images ( red on blue / blue on red ) are on either side of the white on yellow. The white bottle with a yellow background I feel balances out the two very contrasting images and brings the three individual images together into a composition that I think works as a tryptic.
